Beverly Fearon, despite facing challenges from birth, has defied the odds and become a grandmother. Growing up on a farm in the Central Valley of California, she spent a significant amount of time in the hospital due to her birth defect. During those difficult times, Fearon found solace in her imagination, which eventually led her to write about the things she had imagined for all those years.

The Music of Peace tells the story of Harmony Blackfeather, a Native American girl who despises violence. One day, she encounters a hot air balloon that lands right in front of her. Inside the balloon are children from different parts of the world, who use their musical instruments to bring peace to those engaged in conflict.
